Agora is a professional, non-custodial real-world asset (RWA) trading platform built on Robinhood Chain. This page explains what you are trading, how on-chain settlement works, and the role of the $AGORA token.

Overview

Agora is a professional trading platform for real-world assets (RWAs) — tokenized US equities and ETFs — brought fully on-chain. It lets anyone buy and sell these assets directly from a self-custodied wallet on Robinhood Chain. There is no brokerage account and no onboarding form — you connect a wallet, pick an asset, and trade it against USDG, with every order settling on-chain in seconds on Agora.

Agora is a professional real-world asset (RWA) trading platform on Robinhood Chain. The assets are the official Robinhood Stock Tokens described below, and every trade is fully non-custodial — your funds stay in your wallet from start to finish.

Robinhood Chain

Robinhood Chain is a permissionless, EVM-compatible Ethereum Layer-2 built on the Arbitrum Orbit stack and purpose-built for tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) — equities, ETFs, and other financial instruments brought on-chain to be held, transferred, and composed into applications 24/7.

It settles to Ethereum, uses ETH as the native gas token, and inherits Ethereum's security while offering fast finality and fees of a fraction of a cent. Because it is fully EVM-compatible, standard wallets and tooling connect directly.

Stock Tokens

Each tradable asset is an official Robinhood Stock Token — for example NVDA (NVIDIA), AAPL (Apple), or SPY (S&P 500 ETF). They are tokenized debt securities issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited that provide economic exposure to the underlying share or ETF. Each is a standard ERC-20 with 18 decimals, so it works with any wallet and composes into on-chain apps.

Every Stock Token has its own live Chainlink price feed (updating in line with market hours), so prices are read directly on-chain. A token tracks the underlying's total return: reinvested dividends accrue into an on-chain multiplier, so over time one token can come to represent slightly more than one share and its feed price drifts above the headline share price.

Verify the canonical contract address for each ticker on Robinhood's official Token Contracts page before trading — a token with a matching name but a different address is not an official Stock Token.

Trading & settlement

To buy or sell:

  1. Connect any EVM wallet on Robinhood Chain.
  2. Pick a stock and enter an amount in USDG (to buy) or in shares (to sell).
  3. Approve the spending token once — a standard one-time on-chain approval via Permit2.
  4. Confirm the transaction. Agora scans every on-chain liquidity pool for the token and routes your order through the deepest one; the trade settles directly to your wallet.

Settlement is non-custodial end to end — assets move directly between your wallet and on-chain liquidity, never through a Agoraaccount. You pay only the small Robinhood Chain gas fee in ETH.

Custody & security

You hold your assets at all times. Agora never has access to your private keys or your balances. Orders are authorized by your signature and executed against audited on-chain infrastructure; the platform cannot move funds on your behalf.

Each Stock Token is issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited. The token contracts are public and verifiable on Robinhood Chain via the Blockscout explorer.

$AGORA token

$AGORA is the native token of the Agora platform. Its primary utility is trading-fee subsidies and rebates: a portion of platform fees is offset or returned to users in $AGORA, lowering the effective cost of trading and aligning active traders with the platform.

Fees

Agora charges a small platform fee per trade, embedded in the quoted price you see before you confirm. Network gas is paid by you in ETH and is a fraction of a cent on Robinhood Chain. Eligible fees are subsidised or rebated in $AGORA (see above).
